First: stay at your post Text, don't walk away from your station to go find someone — you can fix a problem faster from the booth with someone else physically checking a cable than by abandoning your console.

Escalation order

  1. Try the fix yourself first, for 60 seconds. Most on-air problems (a dropped mic, a frozen slide, a dark fixture) have a known fast fix in this knowledge base. Check the relevant category before escalating — see Home for Sound, Lighting, ProPresenter, Livestream, and Cameras.
  2. Text the booth line: (956) 555-0142. This reaches whoever's on call for tech that week, without interrupting the service to page overhead.
  3. If it's affecting what the congregation can see or hear right now (not just the stream), signal the stage manager via headset/comms so they can adjust pacing or cut to a different element while you work.
  4. If it's a full system failure (total audio loss, complete blackout), call — don't text — the on-call tech lead. Their number is posted at the booth station.

What to have ready when you reach someone

After service Log what happened and what fixed it — message the team lead so it can be added to this knowledge base if it's not already covered. The fastest way this site stays useful is volunteers reporting what actually happened.
